Stay tuned...the Winners for February will be released in the next couple of days...
(We have not forgotten!!!)

Ok so lets start off March with another great Challenge.
We have Team 1 Playing along this month.

This is the brief.....

BURLAP!!!!
A fabulous addition to a project, but maybe not very often used!!!  There are so many things you can do with Burlap.

You can use left over bits, or recycled pieces from old bags etc....Just think outside the square and create a page/ project using this material.

You can include it on your work as is, or think of a clever way to incorporate it somehow-

You might want to stamp with it,

Colour it.....

Make it into flowers,

Impress it into wet media...... etc

You are only limited by your creative imagination!!!!

Just take a look at all the amazing ideas the S4H Designers came up with, using "Burlap" to create this month

Yuka Tanaka

Yuka Has created a photo mat out of Burlap, she has added touches of Paint to ground everything, and to create a centre piece for the Photo to sit in.

 Margreet Westerling

"I created a burlap flower with a piece of burlap. Just make circles until you're satisfied and fasten it with a needle and thread."

Naiara Cicilia

Naiara used hers underneath the embellishments on her page.  She also coloured the pieces.

Fanny Delobel

Fanny used her Burlap pieces as a photo mat under her photo,
and there is a little peeking out behind her tag too!

Aline Fonseca

Aline used her burlap piece as a feature of her page.

                               Anupama Choudary
Anupama's journal cover looks amazing, so Textural.  Her burlap is part of the dimension on the front cover.

Chantelle Huizenga

"I've used burlap as a backing for the chipboard hot air balloon
and have also used some yellow burlap as a photo mat."

Dani de Sa

"I used burlap under the picture, with the purpose of add layers to the project."

                                Rita Ribeiro

Rita used fibres of coloured burlap beneath her photo

Lydell Quin

"I used Burlap in little cut squares and rectangles behind my photo,
with a little at the top and the bottom of my page. I machine stitched it all to the page."

 Gerry van Gent

"I created a gift box using a few pieces of burlap.
The burlap pieces were painted with gesso before cutting them and adhering them.
I`ve also stamped flourishes before I began decorating the gift box"

Elisabeth Sarkis
Elisabeth has placed the fabric in strips along the top and bottom of her page

Bente Fagerberg
"I used gauze/cheese cloth.
I sprayed it with blue mist and after it dried I pulled the threads to use as decoration."

Meg Stoco
Meg placed a finer version of the fabric beneath her photo creating a very soft feel.
She also placed it's fibres, with lace,  lower on her page as an accent strip.

Keren Porat-Tamir

"I used a piece of burlap behind my picture as an extra layer for my page."

Marilia Lopes
Marilia used fibers underneath her photo as a softer touch
rather than the entire piece of the material.
Very nice!

Paula Castells
Paula used little pieces of burlap as accents underneath her photos and embellishments grounding the elements on her page.

Andrea
Andrea added Burlap as a clean and simple mat to her Photograph setting it off beautifully!

Cynthia Lloréns
